Lucy Wheeler (b. 1995) is an extended reality artist living and working in London, UK. She teaches digital technologies at London College of Fashion and has co-founded The Immersive Kind, an art advanced technology organisation and creative extended reality (XR) studio.
Wheeler explores the chaos in our world and is a London-based art, sustainability and metaverse creator and researcher. She has worked in creative technology outreach and exhibited online and offline whilst also establishing herself as a creative director for contemporary art and creative technology industries.
Wheeler has given talks for various cultural organisations including, Brazil Immersive Fashion Week, British Film Institute, Digital Catapult, Chelsea College of Arts, Digital Maker Collective, Plymouth College of Art, Somerset House, Studio Wayne McGregor, Tate Exchange, Women in 3D Printing.
After achieving a First Class BA (Hons) Fine Arts degree at University Arts London, she was invited to be the July 19 Gazell.io Digital Art House resident, toured her virtual reality project, ‘Just-in-Time’ at multiple pop-up art and tech events with The Immersive Kind. Wheeler has been selected to exhibit in various group art exhibitions at art spaces including A.P.T Gallery and Wimbledon Space.
