Agora Digital Art and W21 are joining forces to produce a new Curators’ Conversations, exploring the digital and technology realm in curatorial practices with a touch of feminism.

W21 is an on-going participatory art project focusing on post-feminism and intersectional practice in art, science, culture, and technology. We aim to map feminist practice and to write a collaborative manifesto for the digital era, with deep considerations of gender, class or race.

Does AI Need a Body?

24 February 2021 at 18:30 GMT

W21’s 2020/2021 focus theme is Dis/embodiment.

The speakers will be asked three questions:

  1. Does AI Need a Body?
  2. “How do gender and dis/embodiment play out in the spaces you inhabit? In your work? Is it possible, and if so how, to define what it means to be a ‘woman’ in the 21st Century?
  3. What would you say to future generations of women?
