Gabriella Zatchij, Biographer
I currently work as a design coordinator and content developer for an online art retailer. I have been working from home throughout lockdown, producing written content for the company’s website. This has inspired me to volunteer for Agora Digital so I can continue to develop my copywriting skills whilst learning about female digital artists – a topic I am unfamiliar with but fascinated about. I am a keen advocate for gender equality but I am also passionate about raising awareness of gender non-conformity, having specialized in transgender representation in fashion for my MA in History of Art and Museum Curating.
I have volunteered at several art galleries and museums, including a placement at the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Clothworkers’ Centre, where I gained archival experience. However, my long-term career goal is to produce outreach programs that help to improve the representation of minority groups within the museum space. Collaborating with Agora Digital seemed like the perfect place to start this journey – what could be better than helping to promote female artists within the realm of new media art?
